The Operations Manager is a builder and problem solver invested in the quality and caliber of his/her workmanship. S/he is responsible for planning, scheduling and executing all aspects of the daily operations of Shangri La. These responsibilities include: facilities management (repairs, maintenance, safety and cleaning); capital improvement and preservation projects; grounds and landscape management; program and special events operations; exhibitions/gallery installation assistance; sustainability and environmental initiatives, planning and permitting; procuring and managing contracts, contractors and Owner-Architect-Construction Manager meetings, among other operational needs. S/he works in close partnership with the Deputy Director to constantly improve the operations and capacity of the physical plant, systems and staff with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, flexibility, employee development and compliance.
