Public Programs & Events Coordinator

Located within Shangri La’s center for creative and educational public engagement and under the direction of the Curator of Programs & Social Practice, the Public Programs & Events Coordinator manages the museum’s public engagement: on-site and online programs and special events that enrich the understanding of museum collections, cultural resources, exhibitions and residencies, broaden community access and outreach, and advance the mission of Shangri La in creative and impactful ways. The ideal candidate believes that museums improve the quality of people’s lives, possess a vibrant vision for how public programs inspire, connect and educate audiences, and models excellence and professionalism in presenting special events.
