Public Programs & Events Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced planning professional to advance the mission of Shangri La in creative and impactful ways. Located within Shangri La’s center for creative and educational public engagement and under the direction of the Curator of Programs & Social Practice, the Public Programs & Events Coordinator manages the museum’s public engagement. In collaboration with colleagues, vendors, artists, scholars and subject matter experts, the Public Programs & Events Coordinator will develop and implement inventive programs (on-site, online and off-site) that enrich and complement the understanding of Shangri La’s collections, exhibitions, history, and residencies. The ideal candidate believes that museums improve the quality of people’s lives and possesses a vibrant vision for how public programs inspire, connect and educate audiences.
