The Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design has announced that internationally acclaimed makeup artist, Sandra Saenz, will be working with Shangri La as one of its 2023 Artists-in-Residence. Saenz is a makeup and visual artist who is disrupting the beauty industry and breaking stereotypes. She is the first Mexican hijabi makeup artist to secure agency representation in the USA and has been described as a “positive rebel.”
